Dear clients in UK. Because of Brexit my previous shipper with a weight limit of 40 kilos has stopped delivering to UK. The next economical shipper is DHL with 31,5 kg. The motor weighs 31,7 kg without protective box. For UK clients i will remove the backplate of the motor and send it separately. This is a cartridge version of the Remy HVH250 motor. The cartridge motor option is designed for users who package the HVH250 inside a structural housing such as a transmission. Cooling oil must be provided through customer housing. These cartridge motors are scalable. The hollow shaft with an internal spline allows several motors to be connected in axial direction. This motor was manufactured in the Remy plant in Hungary and is one of two similar motors used in the automatic transmission of the BMW X6 hybrid (motor B). The Remy HVH family machines (High-Voltage Hairpin) are internal permanent magnet , 3-phase synchronous motors utilizing distributed stator pole windings for smoother operation and featuring rectangular cross-section hairpin windings to increase copper fill (to yield greater electrical , mechanical and thermal efficiency). The HVH design provides a wide high efficiency range and a broad power band. Remy utilizes a 10 pole (5 pole pairs) internal permanent magnet rotor. The use of high grade rare earth magnets provides excellent performance while being resistant to demagnetization at approved currents and operating temperatures. They are configured to provide optimal motor performance and efficiency up to 95 % over a wide RPM range. The HVH motors are designed for horizontal shaft orientation. The rotor turns in bearings capable of supporting the rotor mass and gyroscopic forces applied to and generated by the rotor. Radial and axial loads have to be avoided. The cooling system should keep the stator end-turn temperature below 160° C (limit 180°C) to ensure that the rotor temperature does not approach the demagnetization threshold. The motor should be cooled with oil (Dexron 6 , automatic transmission fluid). Caution- Ensure that oil does not collect in the air gap between stator and rotor. Oil accumulation in the air gap will result in demagnetization of the rotor due to extreme heat development. The rotor of this cartridge motor has a length of 110 millimetres and a diameter of 150 millimetres. The windings of the stator are wired in series (“Y” connection). The HVH motors are designed for voltages between 200 and 700 volts. Maximum rpm is 10600. The outputpower depends strongly on the used voltage and the performance of the used controller. In the X6 hybrid the outputpower (motor B) is about 63 kW at 280 volts. With higher voltages and rpms even more outputpower is possible. The weight of the cartridge motor is 31.5 kilograms (69.5 lbs) and the outside diameter is about 210 millimetres (8.25 inches). The 3 power lines are connected at the side with M6 threads. The cable of the resolver is at the front end. Pictures 5 and 6 are showing the front and rear end of the stator of a disassembled motor. Picture 8 shows the internal spline of the rotor.
