Scott’s E-Spark 710 has been given a super stealthy look for 2018, featuring an array of premium components, from the powerful Shimano motor to the Fox suspension, could this be the most fun you can have on a trail? The E-Spark 710 features the powerful E-8000 Series motor which has been designed with all-day performance in mind by increasing the battery capacity to 500Wh to meet the demands of the longest of rides. The battery is now also recharged in 5 hours. The motor itself provides 250W of power and 70Nm of torque so you are able to breeze up the steepest of inclines, conserving your energy to take on longer, more challenging rides. The drive unit allows for shorter chain stays and more tire clearance for a better all-round mountain bike package. The new colour display is compact in size and fits nicely on the handlebars of the bike with the switch being redesigned specifically for mountain biking, being integrated a lot neater and offering a similar feel to a standard gear shifter. Scott have equipped the bike with the perfect amount of suspension travel for trail riding at 130mm front and 120mm rear. The Fox 34 Float Performance Elite fork has been optimized specifically for e-bikes by strengthening critical areas and uses tuning that was originally done for Enduro use which feets the needs of e-bikes very well. At the rear there is a Scott custom tuned Fox NUDE EVOL Trunnion shock which is adjustable in travel from 85-120mm so you can get your exact set-up spot-on. Both the fork and shock can be locked out via Scott’s own TwinLoc Remote technology too. Scott have finished the bike with a Fox Transfer dropper post which comes with a huge 150mm drop on the L & XL sizes. The E-Spark 710 has an 11-Speed Shimano XT drivetrain which compliments the Shimano motor perfectly. A wide range of gears is on offer from the XT 11-46T cassette, giving you the optimum amount of gears and the perfect range for both acceleration and climbing. Scott have added large 203mm Shimano XT hydraulic disc brakes to ensure this bike can stop as quickly as it accelerates. The large disc brakes perform well in all weather conditions to allow you to push your limits even further.
