Electric bike refurbished by Matthew Slinn author of “Build Your Own Electric Bicycle”. Watch the linked videos to see the awesome power of this bike. NEW BATTERY -with 40 miles range depending on pedeling hills etc (48v 13Ah). Lockable light weight lithium ion battery with keys and charger. NEW CHARGER -safety tested by me. NEW CONTROLLER -I’ve removed the old broken controller from inside the hub motor (a problem that plagued ultra motor bikes) and put new one in the frame. The new one is plug and play so it should be more reliable than the original. Its for off road only as it has no pedals and is 1500w. My impressions from test ride= Motor has grunt. Looks good and feels good. Twist and go throttle. 1500w motor (see picture). Watt meter in photo is not part of the bike, just used to show power. The light and horn both work. There are controlls for indicators so it could be made road legal without much work! Battery status monitor on handlebars and battery. Ignition key on handle bars and battery key too. Comfy seat and amazing suspension. There are a few cosmetic issues, nothing major. There is a gap in the frame, where a plug was on the orignial bike and someone has removed it. I covered it with tape (see picture). The stand is broken (see picture). Not a bicycle, as no pedals, so not road legal. You could add pedals – there is thread on the motor to put a gear cog. This is a customise E-bike of the best quality that is assembled in the UK. The bike comes with 700c , 19 Frame and is powered by a 2in1 250w to 1500w rear hub Motor with built in controller. The 2in1 kit in the latest in E-bike technology therefore no excess wires as with the external controller design. The Bike has 5 speed setting on throttle and 5 speed settings on pedal assist which works seamlessly with the 21 speed the bike has. This is all controlled by the SW900 LED big screen fitted the Handlebar. The bike is very light weight due to the aluminium frame which makes it ideal as an electric bike. For the extra power the bike is fitted with mechanical disc brakes as standard. There are several battery options therefore please select the one you need. This bike will do up to 40 miles per hour depending on the riders weight, terrain etc. E-bikes are delivered in 2 packages. The Bike comes 85% assembled and we recommend that the bike is fully assembled by a qualified bike engineer. If you decide to assemble the bike on your own and have the technical Knowledge to do so that’s perfectly fine but any damage to any components caused by incorrect assembly is not covered and at your own risk. Things to pay particular attention to is the gear changer and the lights. The gear change is a moveable component which can move during transit and need adjusting and must be checked before riding the bike. The lights must be connected to the right wire from the LCD and not the spare sensor wire. To switch the light on and off you press either the top or bottom for 5 seconds on the lcd to do so. Pressing both the Top and bottom button together take you into the menu. Please reframe from doing this unless you have the technical capabilities to re-programme.
