The model is described as having a’frame is built for stability, comfort and durability and is a firm favourite amongst the Gazelle community. This is an everyday bike for commuting, leisure and longer rides’ and the’most comfortable bike in the Gazelle range’. It is an upright step-through pedal-assisted Dutch city bike that has recently had a new battery and a new motor and control unit overhaul. Frame size is 49cm – which according to the manufacturers corresponds to a rider size of 1.6 – 1.7m tall. That being said, my wife rode it for a few months without any issues and she is 6 foot. Because of the way the handlebars and saddle can be adjusted it means there is quite a bit of variability with this. Gears are 8-speed Shimano Nexus Premium hub gear (Grip-shift) and uses a motor in the front hub that is activated by a pedal sensor so it kicks in as you pedal (pedal assist). The battery is mounted on the rear rack. The bike is extremely comfortable to ride and well-finished to a very high specification. There are a number of features that are testament to the quality. Tool-free handlebar adjustment. Inbuilt rear wheel lock (Ax Defender). Front fork suspension for a super comfortable ride. Ergonomic saddle and grips. In built wheel pump.
