Having bought a Folding Montague Paratrooper Pro bike, and then had it modified with an electric motor to go super-fast off-road by an official electric bike shop in London. It works with a hand twist throttle on the handle bar, has a good torque (so it takes off quick) and can get to 28-30mph with a 90kg person sitting on it. I have attached a couple of links below so you can see how easy it folds, and to see how fast and powerful the electric motor functions on and off road surfaces so you can get an idea of how well it works, as well as othere aspects. It has a hydraulic disc brake, 21 speed Shimano gears, hydraulic suspension, toughened spokes, and puncture resistance tyres as well as a heavy-duty bag rack capable of 25kg+. With throttle only, at an average speed of 20 mph and with a 90kg person on it, it can get 18 miles out of a full charge which plugs into a normal plug socket; however, when doing light assisted peddling and using the throttle when needed for acceleration, hills or when tired etc, it has done a good 28-30miles. A full charge of the battery is approx.. The battery sits inside the rear MTX Topeak bag which is a quick release, and easy to carry. So you don’t even realize it’s electric. It can also open out to have side bags. It’s a 48v Heinzmann conversion. Bike weight is approx 21kg (was 14kg before the conversion) It is in great condition.
