Great electric bike and a really good commuter bike with rear rack and waterproof pannier bags. Not used much since a full service 11 months ago. 3 levels of power assist, low gives you 50% extra of your effort via the crank sensor, medium matches your effort, high gives 200% of what you put in, steep hills are not a problem. It has a recent Derby bicycle 18 mah battery pack, which recharges quickly on the original Kalkhoff charger. This is allegedly good for up to 140 kilometres of cycling dependant on the terrain. The most I’ve cycled at once was 35 miles and to be fair it had just under half its capacity left at the end. The Shimano Alfine gear system is an 8 gear internal hub system known for its reliability. It has a trip computer fitted to the front wheel to measure speed and distance etc via a removable LCD display. It has front and rear hydraulic disc brakes with new discs and pads. The bike has SR Suntour front forks which have remote locking. It has dynamo hub fitted front and rear lights which all work fine so no batteries needed. This is a large frame bike and would be suitable for anyone 6 feet or over. The tyres are good quality and are injected with puncture proof green slime. I have the recent service history, all of its manuals and literature and even the Kalkhoff dvd. There are some spare new spokes and a spare inner tube. The front wheel is a quick release type so can fit into most family sized vehicles easily. Cash on collection only from Dipton, County Durham. We now have a Bosch approved and supplied service kit for generation 2 Bosch E-Bike motors with noisy / worn drive side bearings or as a bearing upgrade. The comprehensive kit includes: Cover incl. Seal, bearing, freewheel drive gear, gear grease, cover screws, bearing pin with rubber collared bush and protective disc. Full Bosch diagnostics are ran prior to and post installation. Prior to any work being carried out we will run the Bosch diagnostics test and provide you with an official comprehensive report. We will attach the motor to our test bed and run through all physical functions. Assuming there are no software errors or physical damage to the internals or externals of the motor we can move to the next step. If errors are found we will contact you to discuss your alternative options. Please note that this may result in the motor coming back to you un-repaired. We will fit the official Bosch service repair kit as trained and directed by Bosch. Kit includes: Cover incl. Your motor will then be re-attached to the test bed and again ran through all physical functions. Bosch diagnostics will be ran again and the official report supplied. Software updates can at this stage be applied if required. The drive unit must not be repaired if any one of the following applies.
