Previously used on private land. This bicycle has been converted to an electric bike. It has been fitted with a pedal assist sensor, so motor can activate with turns of the pedal. It has also been fitted with a thumb throttle, which is required for turning on the bike’s electrics. The front wheel is a mountain bike wheel at 27.5″, whereas the rear wheel is more of a hybrid wheel at 26″. Battery can be removed from bike, or secured to bike with a small integrated bolt lock. Battery also has USB port for charging items such as lights or mobile phones. The top speed of the bike is estimated to be around 18 mph. With the limiter enabled, it can reach around 12 mph. There has been a complete overhaul of the bike. This bike was stripped down and reassembled with new parts. The bike has been fitted with new gear shifters, new brake levers, new gear and brake cables, a cycle computer, thumb throttle, rear pannier mount, rear wheel with hub motor, pedal assist sensor, battery mount secured by three rivet nuts, new grease on pedal bearings, kick stand, pannier reflector and front and rear mudguards. The rear brake caliper mount was modified to cater for the change of rear wheel. There is unfortunately grey primer overspray on that area. The two original holes in the frame were filed down and filled in with metal putty, then three new holes were drilled, which are secured by screws at around 6Nm each. These modifications were necessary, but there can be no guarantee for the structural integrity of this for the long term. All wires have been covered and tidied, and secured by velcro straps, leading to the controller on the rear pannier rack. The bike comes with two keys and a charger for the battery.
